Somebody had a birthday this week! It’s cause for celebration–and a great beverage!
I love a good bourbon-based cocktail. Fresh ginger also gives this drink quite a nice kick. Break out your martini glasses and cocktail shaker–it’s about to get good.
Ingredients
- 1 shot bourbon (I use Old Grandad 114–Bottled in Bond is more available)
- 1 t fresh ginger, grated
- 2-3 oz. ginger ale (I use Reed’s Original Ginger Brew)
- 2-3 ice cubes
Method
Using a cocktail shaker, add ice, ginger, and bourbon. Close and shake until thoroughly chilled. Pour the liquid into the serving glass. Be careful not to drop the ice cubes in as well! Add the ginger ale to fill the glass.
