It kind of sucks. Not because renting sucks–but because we rent knowing we are (hopefully) actively transitioning toward being able to get our first house. Needless to say I’ve been preparing for my future dream kitchen in our first home for…longer than I care to share. I recently thought, why am I being so selfish and keeping all my thoughts and pretty pictures to myself!? Those who love to cook also (usually) appreciate a gorgeous but logical kitchen as well!

What I think is most important thing about a kitchen is its logic. You don’t want a kitchen where the whole countertop is a sink or the seating is really uncomfortable. I want the kitchen to be a gathering place, whether it be for entertaining at a party or chatting with a bestie over a couple cups of coffee. It has to be welcoming, classic, and yet have a pop or an edge. I find myself to fall toward a white modern with a touch of country cabin.
What’s the most important part of the kitchen for you? Is it counter space? Storage? Warmth? Open space?
